Last week I mentioned the collabo, Voices of the Voiceless, featuring NinjaVideo Spotlight Artists Lowkey and Immortal Technique. Its release day and the banner above connects to their iTunes link. You are of course, not obligated to purchase anything to continue using Ninja, but we as a site and as individuals to believe in doing everything we can to support good, independent music... and I'd like to think our audience does too.
Tis $1... and it does something quite proper by two men quite committed to their love of music.

And as always, much, much love to Myst of SO Empire for doing all he does for the Spotlight side of Ninja. And if you like what you hear here, feel free to check for more frequent updates via Myst's Twitter.

NinjaVideo is proud to release the World Wide Premier of the Alphabet Assassin video, a song featured a few months ago during Lowkey's Spotlight
I f'ckin love this song. Everyone should click the above banner.
Quite a few people on Ninja are not necessarily hip hop afficionados but I would like to think that our community is made up of those that appreciate word play and lyricism and just intelligent anything. And quite frankly that's what this song is. Though somewhat common as a technique in the hip hop world, an alphabet song, when done well, can quite feasibly be a crowning jewel in an artist's career. Being that I know how talented Lowkey is personally, there is no doubt that won't be the case here, but he without a doubt murdered this track. Fan of the genre or not, I highly urge everyone to click above and give the video a watch. Again, this is an enormous coup for NinjaVideo, and I would highly urge all of our users to take advantage of it.
Next...
OoOooh this is sexy. Two NinjaVideo Spotlight Artists, Immortal Technique and Lowkey have teamed forces to bring you Voices of the Voiceless which will release on September 21st, a matter of days from now. A bit of a sneak peak, the official trailer, can be found here at Ninja but for this announcement, I'm going to link you direct to the youtube so you can drop off a comment or two on behalf of Ninja. I've conveyed my sheer admiration of Tech before and his teaming up with Lowkey on this particular track is phenomenal. So keep your ears peeled for that official drop later this month.

... NinjaVideo is proud to present the fourth artist to be featured on the Ninja Spotlight ...
~CANIBUS~
With each Spotlight that we do, these few words that I have to write get harder and harder. How does one really explain being more blown away week after week as this project of ours gets bigger and the artists get more and more intimate with Ninja?
Canibus is a name that rang through my youth. That still rings today. I've admired this man for more than half my life. And last week I got to talk to him for two hours. And right now I'm listening to him in my headphones. As I type I see my community coming together to produce banners, know that my mainsite users are hitting the spotlight videos, and revel in the oddity that is life a mere year and some from the inception of this site and mere months from the creation of The Ninja Spotlight.
The Ninja Spotlight is showcasing five songs chosen personally by Canibus, including a preview from the 10000 bar monster project RIP the Jacker. Above each video is a link to Canibus's MySpace or The Spitboss Community which if you use, I encourage you to post some love from Ninja on behalf of the Spotlight.
As always much, much love to Myst of SO Empire for helping coordinate this, and Shan on Bis' side of things.

The awful scent of bloody flesh and barnicles haunts you..."

I see you're familiar with my administration style...
High as f'ck at 8:30 in the morning getting my mind blown by the Spotlight Pack. Spitbullz has been on repeat for a solid 30 at the moment. Dr. Manhattan before that.

An appeal for understanding and cooperation from Canibus himself. A message one hopes will resonate through to both the listeners of hip hop and its creators, new and old.

... NinjaVideo is proud to present the third artist to be featured on the Ninja Spotlight ...
~CROOKED I~
... I'm not quite sure when it happened, but at some point, this little project that wadswerth and I put together on a whim, attracted names and idols out of nowhere. From its Inception with Immortal Technique, to the kindred spirit that was Lowkey, to currently... and arguably the biggest Underground artist to come out of the West Coast... CROOKED I.
Before I go any further however, let me offer my apologies as this is quite behind schedule. However, I'm sure Dominick understands and hopefully will be around in the near future to answer some more questions about his long awaited solo album, which is due to be worked on after the completion of a slew of summer projects.
The Ninja Spotlight is showcasing five songs chosen personally by Crooked I, and featuring future tracks by Group Therapy that stay getting play in my life. Above each video is a link to Crooked's MySpace which if you use, I encourage you to post some love from Ninja on behalf of the Spotlight.
As always much, much love to Myst of SO Empire for helping coordinate this, and Mickey on the US side of things.

Hmm... so my boy... who's never done wrong by me asked me to give a listen and some love to Stylah, an artist he's helping come up. I'm on the way to give a listen, but I'd figured I'd stop by Ninja Main first and give some love.

Just a quick heads up, the NinjaRadio Forum Icon Thingie, or whatever that really cool thing is is now on Ninja Main. Win Win. Now you can see at a glance who's DJ'ing, what they're playing, and you have the option of low or high quality streams depending on your speed. We have a lot of fun with NinjaRadio here, and I hope this gets more of you involved. Much love to Untamed for the original design, htrdfrk for customizing it for the Mainsite, and dead1ne's oh so grumpy/sexy ass for putting it all together.
